Independent Turbo Specialists
Originally established in 1989, Universal Turbos has grown from humble beginnings to become one of the largest independent turbo specialists in the UK.
With our expertise & knowledge, we expanded our business into the turbo remanufacturing aftermarket, leading us to outgrow our premises in Ringwood. In 2007, we moved to our current location just outside Fordingbridge, Hampshire.
Since the move, we’ve continued to grow with the help of our dedicated team, whose turbo refurbishment skills have helped us maintain our reputation for precision and reliability. In recent years, this included the acquisition of CR Turbos, based in New Milton.

Cimat RT610 and RT8.5 VSR Balancing: Stability is the heart of turbocharger longevity. We utilise the Cimat RT610 and RT8.5 Vibration Sorting Rigs (VSR) to balance turbocharger cores at operational speeds of up to 300,000 rpm. This ensures zero-vibration performance and maximum service life.

G3-min-Flow Bench Calibration: Modern Variable Geometry Turbos (VNT) require absolute precision. Our G3-min-Flow Bench allows our engineers to calibrate air-flow to exact OEM specifications, ensuring perfect boost response and fuel efficiency across the entire rev range.

Advanced Actuator Diagnostics: With the rise of electronically controlled turbos, we use G3 REA-Master and HandyCAN diagnostic tools. This allows us to test, re-programme, and calibrate electronic actuators with surgical accuracy, a capability that sets us apart from generalist workshops.

Full In-House Machine Shop: By maintaining a complete engineering suite in Fordingbridge, we control every variable of the refurbishment process. From failure analysis to final high-speed testing, every unit is verified to stand the test of time.
